My name is Peter Wysocki. I am the founder of the International Pilonidal Society.
As a surgeon (Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons) I see many patients with pilonidal sinus or ingrown hair in the bum crack (natal cleft). There is a lot of misunderstanding about pilonidal sinus and its treatment. Slowly, this blog will explore the issues.
The International Pilonidal Society web site, this blog and the Pilonidal Sinus Journal represent ways in which we can pool our experiences and resources to improve the outcomes of people with pilonidal sinus. So please, submit your feedback and comments!
